Kamala Harris pulled off something hard to do—find a running mate farther Left and more radical in policy than she is. As Minnesota's Governor, Tim Walz failed to stem the summer 2020 riots that wrecked Minneapolis. He did so because he supported them. 'Peaceful' protests shouldn't be allowed to devolve into violent arson, looting, and theft. Walz forsook his duties as a governor when he hesitated to act.
Yet, he showed little concern for the businesses that lost everything during those riots or the communities that lived in the neighborhoods destroyed by rioters. Someone who shows little interest in upholding the law to protect law-abiding citizens and prosecuting the criminals accountable should not be anywhere near the presidency. Walz prefers socialism, even recently saying, 'one person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.' Socialism is antithetical to the American Way. Under his tyrannical handling of COVID, his socialistic views manifested in his establishing a hotline for neighbors to snitch, as happened in Stalin's Russia, on fellow neighbors who were seen violating Walz's severe COVID restrictions. Not only that, he prioritized COVID remedies based on race (favoring Blacks over Whites)—something illegal and unjust.
Walz also supports open borders along with sanctuary cities, and he mismanaged federal funds meant for his state's food aid program, resulting in the theft of $250 million. Finally, Walz signed legislation that removes the rights of parents who do not agree to gender mutilation surgeries or the chemical castration of their children, stripping custody from non-consenting parents. Likewise, in his embrace of radical gender ideology, he put female menstrual products in boys' restrooms. All this, combined with his pro-abortion legislation, which includes withholding medical care to survivors born alive, makes the Harris-Walz ticket the most far-left political pairing ever to run for executive office.

Kamala Harris made the right choice when selecting Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota as her VP for the 2024 election. Harris and Walz have already exuded great synergy with one another as they prepare to navigate the complexities of the White House and the current state of the country. Bernie Sanders' endorsement of Walz will go a long way as well, as the latter still has the ability to influence voters. Originally from Nebraska, Gov. Walz has his finger on the pulse of the American Heartland, which will be paramount in swinging states that typically vote red. His ability to potentially bridge the gap between patriots and progressives make him an ideal candidate.
One of the primary issues in Harris’ bid for the White House has been the subject of abortion. Walz has made it abundantly clear that he is pro-choice, which is antithetical to the pro-life stance of Trump’s VP-elect, JD Vance. This is sure to be one of the most decisive factors in the upcoming election. Another divisive issue amongst Americans is gender identity, especially when it comes to young people. Once again, Gov. Walz has been firmly transparent in his support for the LGBTQ community, specifically trans people.
Kamala Harris knows her supporters, which is why she chose Walz. She also knows the demographic in which she lacks support and who she will need to win over to ensure a victory in November. Male voters, in some instances, for example, may find little common ground with Harris. Tim Walz, however, is a former football coach and huntsman who served in the military. He has the credentials and background to sway many voters to go blue, as they are more likely to find something identifiable with him.
